THE MACMILLAN PRIZE 2008

The Macmillan Prize, funded by Macmillan Children's Books, was established in 1985 to stimulate new work from young illustrators in art schools to help them start their professional careers.

The exhibiton will celebrate this year's winning and commended artwork.

Previous winners include well-known names in children's illustration such as Emily Gravett, Lucy Cousins, Ross Collins & Sara Fanelli.

THE BODY AS SCULPTURE

26/05/08 – 01/06/08

 

Recent graduates from Central St Martins Sarah Cooper and Rolf Baltromejus will be examining the body as a sculptural form. 

Rolf Baltromejus’s work addresses the body as an object of desire through the exploration of gender and sexuality.

Sarah Cooper examines the manipulation of the body as a object in the performance of surgery.

An exhibition of eleven Graphic Designers, the term "Graphic Design" stretched, distorted and fulfilled in more ways than is possible to express in words.

Suggesting typography, Eleven pt promises to offer this and much more.

You should expect to see the result of eleven creatively inquisitive minds, including but not restricted to; film, illustration, printmaking, photography, design and new media.
