Steve McIntyre’s collection of furniture is concerned with sex, sexuality, object mechanics and function. The sexual content of the work is intentionally interactive; opening a drawer by means of a phallus or vibrator within the context of the work relates ironically to the upsurge in sexually based media across the board in modern society.
